notice
eh eh he hem......hello. sorry its been so long. i have recently had many adventures, and i will explain some of them...though i'm waiting on some pictures for the others, sorry must wait, haha. but as for some of the adventures this week i may share!
this wednesday was a home track meet. i was happy for two reasons. 1. i didn't have to run my open 800 ( which i hate this yr.) 2. i thought it was going to be rained out.
here it is, let me open my little, okay big book of how to understand Emily...pg 324, sector 3....Track is a sport which emily enjoys, she feels powerful and strong when running, use to love 800 but realized a race such as that isn't worth dying over (literally) she is hard working some days (rare) but mostly lazy compared to swim. especially when it starts getting later in the yr. 400 is now what emily enjoys running. no explanation as to why.
okay now that you understand, somewhat, what i mean, i explain why this meet turned out better than expected, as i said i didn't have to run open 800 though i was in 4*800 and since i ate oreos (see #2) i was a little nervous going in, i thought i was going to throw up, instead , kind of ironically i might add, i ran a 3.02 which isn't horrifyingly bad especially with all i ate that day...this is what i don't understand, i should be getting at least 2.50 bc last yr my best time was a 2.47 which is pretty good, but this yr my fastest time is a 2.57 so idk, anyways, it was a good thing i didn't get rained out BECAUSE i was in open 400 that day. thinking i was going to come in last out of the four, two from higley both presumebly faster and a girl from Poston Bute who had just finished 4*100 so you know she is quick. i started out pretty strong and carried it out neck to neck with Poston Bute girl, at the last hundred it was me against her and other Higley grl was behind me, of course Joselyn won...anyways, i kept trying to push trying to beat out poston bute but when i finished the finish line i cared not about winning i just wanted to know my time, at That time my best was a one ten even this time it was a one o seven! NEW RECORD and BEAT MY GOAL! yeah! so i did a few little jumps a skip here and there and then i saw Katie and Kourt cheering me on! which made me even happier to know my friends had seen, i was....estatic! Coach Johnson was about to pee his pants and came over and gave me the best high five ever!
but wait.....
it gets better, so i'm waiting for hurdles to finish so i can put them away, and they start announcing the winners, 3rd which i expected to be me wasn't me it was Lindsay...but wait i beat higley grl...no...2nd place Emily Mills from Higley was announced, hence another tiraid!!
even better.
Coach J needs a anchor for 4*400 JV i get roped in not expecting to do as well as my 400 and when i finish the line in 2nd again with Poston Bute on my tail the crowd cheers, Coach Johnson now looks like he is going to embrace me in a bear hug and i am in a dream like stupor. Johnson says he wished he would've gotten the time bc it seemed even faster than my 400 and hopefully was becasue a spike came out. (later found my Johnson) and everyone was patting me on the back, not bc i was some hero, like i said we came in 2nd but luckily Varsity came in first so that was okay, no it wasn't because i was a hero, it was becuase everyone could clearly see i had done my best that i fought to the end, (everyone always comments that i look like i want to beat somebody up when i cross the finish line) that night was one of magic.
i am ALWAYS going to eat oreos before a meet now! :D
k wow lengthy i know, but don't blame me i haven't been able to write in forever and my fingers were moving quickly over the key board...my bad!
i promise my next one will mostly be pics :)

General Conference
Probably spelt that wrong, oops! haha.. i have been watching every conference since freshman yr. the years before i usually jus watched the sunday session, this year was even more special, it was as if this conference was made especially for me. i noticed that pratically all the talks focused on family and a lot about mothers, this is where it hit me that this conference was for me, i had the stronf impression to really listen to these talks, also that someday, i know it, i will be a mother. all the talks were amazing and i love listening to there stories and inspiring words. It was just amazing to listen to the prophets words, to learn about the difference of love and lust, it was just AMAZING!!
