Fourth of July means watermelon, Ribs, (oh my heavens good ribs), family, fireworks, storms, and freedom. I love he fourth of July and I love it in Az especially when it is monsoon season! Yes it is really hot, but watching the lightining and hearing the thunder, and feeling rain drops slide down your salty, dirty, sweaty skin makes it so worth it! so what did i do? well lunch time meant Tonya and Brad and their boys came over for delicous ribs and swimming. we also had sheet cake and watermelon. it was so yummy and fun to hang out with those silly little boys! at night i went to ultimate frisbee for the first time, sadly only my friend Matt and a new friend Chuck were there. so we threw the frisbee around for a while and deciced we wanted to cool off with 79 cent slushies at Quick Trip. as we were driving over i noticed fireworks and i knew this was going to be good. we got our slushies and then headed back outside to watch the display of colors in the sky. when we got sick of dirt slamming into our faces from the oncoming storm i rushed to get the suburban and park her in the perfect spot...i missed the finale. but it ended up okay because lightining was still going on, so we sat on the hood slurped are syrupy delicousness and watched the storm come closer and closer. Then we went to Chuck's house to light off some fireworks. that was cool! and watched a movie. It was a Fun Fun night! :)
p.s. i just played ultimate again last night and people actually showed up. IT WAS A BLAST! i even scored for us once blocked several and caught some. and made a sneaky move. haha.
