Reflection

Isn't it sad when a good thing ends, i've just past the finish line of my Junoir year. So far it has been the best year in my life. i had such amazing friends, and my parents and family rooted for me on the side lines of my tiring race occasionally offering help, such as doing a night of dishes for me, being at my meets, and driving me everywhere not to mention their great advice. my friends were the ones that put up with me all year, made this year a blast and always were up for a new adventure!
i don't think i get over how fast this year went but then agian doesn't time fly when your having fun? it wasn't always fun though, waking up early for swim pratice was tough, chemistry had to have been the most challenging class i have taken. and i managed to pass it with a B! thank goodness for the power of prayer! ;D i aslo secured my first A in math its actually my highest A this semester, its a 96% :D wow i didn't know i had that in me, truthfully it was thanks to my math teacher, it was nice for once to have a good math teacher who taught well. it didn't stop there either, thanks to Stuco and Track , i was busy busy. from plannig prom, to sprinting around the track trying to beat my opponet.
i also had amazing first experiences, from my first school dance, to asking a boy to a dance with a stinky real fish, freaking out about having a date to prom with my dear freind Katie to us jumping and screaming like little grils when we did get asked. :) going to prom. visiting a brand new temple and being able to go iside the sealing room, some bad mexican food, have late night picnics and mid afternoon ones, laughing till we cried, almost puking from rolling down a hill after just eating sonic, messing aroung in Walmarts and cranky ladies yelling at us, eating frozen yogurt, sonic runs, taco bell runs, chick-fil-a ditch, struting my stuff down a cat walk for prom fashion show, inside jokes, being called MILLS, Millie, Susan, Wendy, Narnia, Neverland.being teased about Ethyl aka my crush, being teased about not having my first kiss, imagining that first kiss,me serenaded my Andy, Brandon, and Turner, about andy wanting to kiss me, haha. reading, drawing, and writing when i had free time, having no free time. mormon prom. photoshoots.....on and on... this year was SO eventful and i loved it. Thanks Katie C for bieng my right hand women, and going on adventures on, thanks to everyone who made this year so special, you know who you are, you're the people i love oh so much!

The Best Dang Mexican Food Ever!

Do you like undercooked meat? From a Can?
Perhaps dry rice and uncooked beans?
I bet you enjoy Enchiladas the size of your fist!
OOOH i know, CAT FOOD!
you can get all this AND the choice of a stomach ache or food posioning :D
all for the High price of ten dollars!

This is EXACTLY what katie and i did, and let me tell you. it was DISGUSTING. your probably wondering, WHY IN THE HECK DID YOU EAT IT? well, let me shed some light.
After we made our trip to walk inside the temple which was an amazingly beautiful and spiritual occurance...we pulled up to this little mexican resturuant that was crowded, usually a good sign right? there were cute little benches and hanging plant pots. my tummy was like YES!!!!

that was until i was served my food, tasted a bit of some loose chicken and....my gag reflex kicked in! at this point i was like, Glad that is my food...when i had a bite of this supposidly gran Enchilada with what was supposed to be green sauce i swear a bit maybe a part of me died as i realized that the only way to stop the hunger pains in my stomach was to eat that nasty turd of a Enchilada! like i said the green goo was supposed to be green sauce you know, TASTY. but no, it was like..sewage, uck! want to know that worst part of it, i had nothing to get the taste out of my mouth after. we didn't get any ice cream, my water ran out, not even gum!!!! and my hands smelt like B.O. from eating that, that CATFOOD! i swear it was canned chicken, the cook was like alright grab me the chicken, placed it on an uncooked tortilla dunped some sewage on it and served it to me!!!! Katie was the one who got the dry beans and rice....uh.
it was pretty disapointing, the only good thing in the resturuant were the tortilla chips and salsa, which was probably the only home made thing that they made!!!

lets just say that i really want my money back, and im not exaggerating if i say Katie does too.
if i ever have to eat something like that angain im complaining not paying for it and requesting them to bring me FOOD and not GARBAGE!!!

sincerly,
your food critic!

notice

eh eh he hem......hello. sorry its been so long. i have recently had many adventures, and i will explain some of them...though i'm waiting on some pictures for the others, sorry must wait, haha. but as for some of the adventures this week i may share!
this wednesday was a home track meet. i was happy for two reasons. 1. i didn't have to run my open 800 ( which i hate this yr.) 2. i thought it was going to be rained out.

here it is, let me open my little, okay big book of how to understand Emily...pg 324, sector 3....Track is a sport which emily enjoys, she feels powerful and strong when running, use to love 800 but realized a race such as that isn't worth dying over (literally) she is hard working some days (rare) but mostly lazy compared to swim. especially when it starts getting later in the yr. 400 is now what emily enjoys running. no explanation as to why.

okay now that you understand, somewhat, what i mean, i explain why this meet turned out better than expected, as i said i didn't have to run open 800 though i was in 4*800 and since i ate oreos (see #2) i was a little nervous going in, i thought i was going to throw up, instead , kind of ironically i might add, i ran a 3.02 which isn't horrifyingly bad especially with all i ate that day...this is what i don't understand, i should be getting at least 2.50 bc last yr my best time was a 2.47 which is pretty good, but this yr my fastest time is a 2.57 so idk, anyways, it was a good thing i didn't get rained out BECAUSE i was in open 400 that day. thinking i was going to come in last out of the four, two from higley both presumebly faster and a girl from Poston Bute who had just finished 4*100 so you know she is quick. i started out pretty strong and carried it out neck to neck with Poston Bute girl, at the last hundred it was me against her and other Higley grl was behind me, of course Joselyn won...anyways, i kept trying to push trying to beat out poston bute but when i finished the finish line i cared not about winning i just wanted to know my time, at That time my best was a one ten even this time it was a one o seven! NEW RECORD and BEAT MY GOAL! yeah! so i did a few little jumps a skip here and there and then i saw Katie and Kourt cheering me on! which made me even happier to know my friends had seen, i was....estatic! Coach Johnson was about to pee his pants and came over and gave me the best high five ever!

but wait.....
it gets better, so i'm waiting for hurdles to finish so i can put them away, and they start announcing the winners, 3rd which i expected to be me wasn't me it was Lindsay...but wait i beat higley grl...no...2nd place Emily Mills from Higley was announced, hence another tiraid!!

even better.
Coach J needs a anchor for 4*400 JV i get roped in not expecting to do as well as my 400 and when i finish the line in 2nd again with Poston Bute on my tail the crowd cheers, Coach Johnson now looks like he is going to embrace me in a bear hug and i am in a dream like stupor. Johnson says he wished he would've gotten the time bc it seemed even faster than my 400 and hopefully was becasue a spike came out. (later found my Johnson) and everyone was patting me on the back, not bc i was some hero, like i said we came in 2nd but luckily Varsity came in first so that was okay, no it wasn't because i was a hero, it was becuase everyone could clearly see i had done my best that i fought to the end, (everyone always comments that i look like i want to beat somebody up when i cross the finish line) that night was one of magic.
i am ALWAYS going to eat oreos before a meet now! :D

k wow lengthy i know, but don't blame me i haven't been able to write in forever and my fingers were moving quickly over the key board...my bad!

i promise my next one will mostly be pics :)

General Conference

Probably spelt that wrong, oops! haha.. i have been watching every conference since freshman yr. the years before i usually jus watched the sunday session, this year was even more special, it was as if this conference was made especially for me. i noticed that pratically all the talks focused on family and a lot about mothers, this is where it hit me that this conference was for me, i had the stronf impression to really listen to these talks, also that someday, i know it, i will be a mother. all the talks were amazing and i love listening to there stories and inspiring words. It was just amazing to listen to the prophets words, to learn about the difference of love and lust, it was just AMAZING!!

FRIENDS AND BIG DRESSES!

Can I Just Say Something! I am so Glad Katie Is in Stuco with me! She is so cute and a Great Friend! Though truthfully i was the one who joined Stuco this yr. and she's been in it for ages! this is a full view of our dressed, Katie had her True Color of pink on and looked so great! I loved my dress even more the second time i put it on! Aren't they gorgeous, Only about 500$ each!
One of my favorite things was getting all dressed up, it was even more fun to do it with Katie

As you can see clearly in this phote we had a blast! And it wasn't just because we were with some pretty darn cute boys! though i think a look a littel smitten in this photo! haha

maybe this is why? haha. Brandon was a good sport. He had a lot of good ideas as well. he picked our song Sway Your Head, by We Shot The Moon, it worked perfectly!

I thought this was a pretty funny picture, i don't know why he looks so unhappy, but it does give him the poutty look, no? haha. maybe it was after i blew a kiss to the crowd! haha.
I just loved this experience! SO MUCH FUN!

pRoM fAsHiOn ShOw

Finally it happened....

The day Katie and i have been waiting for since...like
Freshman yr.

This was our group, count how many are modest..
haha didn't take long....but everyone looked
Gorgeous!

Katie Looking SOOOO Cute!

we were pretty impressed with our hair
and make-up! Especially our fake eyelashes! Ahh!

How cute? Ya? Best Friends!

These were our Very studly men!
Don't tell them this, but we purposely chose the
cutest junoirs in school!!! o Again! Look how cute we are! hahah The Manly Men of Higley This is our support group and our best friends!
Personally i think they look just as good as us
And trust me i had loads of help with my make up and hair

Sunni and Jesse, Some more of my awesome friends!
aren't they adorable!

This experience was amazing, i got to prove to the world that Modest is the Hottest!
I got to walk down the runway with Brandon Halls a true son of Zion, and Katie got to walk with Dallin another true example of a son of Zion. Katie's mom went on and on about how we appeared to have the most confidence on the runway, you wanna know why, we weren't self concious, because we were modest!
I also really appreciated all the compliments, any girl who tells you she hates compliments is lying! i fully enjoyed it. Brittany Hipps gushed over the top picture which made me feel pretty darn skippy, people kept commenting on my hair, THANKS HEATHER!!! (she did Katie's as well) telling me and Katie that ours looked the best! Katie T told me i had to find some way to get my hands on my dress for prom but the 445$ told me heck no! But i think Katie C will agree with me the best complimets are the ones given by boys!!! Thanks Brandon and Dallin for being so great!
The Runway: the first meet up Brandon bowed like a gentlemen, handed me a beautiful rose (sitting in a cup in my kitchen) and i curtsied as best as i could in that heavy dress.
on his way back Landin tossed Brandon an apple which Brandon took a bite out of threw it in the trash can (made it) and then like a pro twirled me on the stage that was smaller than my dress. ( i think i get some props too though ya?) on the third meet up we posed like runway models. each time we walked there and back Brandon kindly offered my his arm.
Again this experience was AMAZING!!
